BPS Katingan Regency Conducts -Village Love Statistics- Coaching in Talangkah Village

Katingan, May 26, 2025 - In an effort to increase statistical literacy at the village and kelurahan level, the Central Bureau of Statistics (BPS) of Katingan Regency conducted Sectoral Statistics Development activities through the 'Program Desa Cinta Statistik' (Desa Cantik). This activity took place on Monday, May 26, 2025, at the Talangkah Village Office Hall, from 08.30 to 13.00 WIB.

The Desa Cantik program aims to optimize the management and utilization of statistical data at the village level. Through this coaching, BPS Katingan Regency encourages an increase in the capacity of village officials in understanding, managing, and utilizing statistical data as a basis for more targeted village development planning.

This activity was attended by Village Officials, Agen Desa Cantik, Katingan Regency BPS Team, and Talangkah Village Community Leaders. The coaching went smoothly and the participants actively participated in the discussion. In the coaching session, participants gained an understanding of the importance of sectoral statistics, an overview of the implementation of statistical activities that refer to the Generic Statistical Business Process Model (GSBPM) and data utilization strategies to support local economic development programs. The Desa Cantik 2025 coaching in Talangkah Village will focus on how data will illustrate tourism potential. “The tourism potential in Talangkah Village, if introduced to the wider community, will provide a great opportunity to improve the welfare of the community,” said one of the community leaders of Talangkah Village. In this training, BPS Katingan Regency and all participants also had the opportunity to visit the location of tourism potential.

With the implementation of this activity, it is hoped that Talangkah Village as one of the assisted villages in the Desa Cantik program will be able to become a model in terms of good and accountable statistical data management, and can encourage the creation of data-based village policies. BPS Katingan Regency is committed to continuing to encourage the improvement of data quality at the village level to support sustainable and equitable development.
