Katingan SDI Forum Agrees on the 2025 Data List

Katingan, 27 November 2025 — BPS-Statistics Katingan Regency, in collaboration with the Regional Development Planning, Research, and Development Agency of Katingan Regency (Bappedalitbang) and the Office of Communication, Informatics, Statistics, and Encryption (Diskominfostandi), strengthened sectoral statistical collaboration through the Sectoral Statistics Development Forum held at the Bappedalitbang Hall. This forum served as a coordination platform to improve the availability of data for economic growth indicators and finalize the 2025 Katingan Regency Data List.

The event was officially opened by the Head of Bappedalitbang, who emphasized the importance of synergy among regional government institutions (OPD) in providing priority development data. The BPS GRDP Estimation Team delivered a presentation on the basic concepts of GRDP based on the 2008 SNA framework and highlighted the economic development of Katingan in the second quarter of 2025. BPS also reiterated the importance of accurate and timely data to support macroeconomic indicators and the implementation of the 2026 Economic Census.

Data-producing agencies then presented their respective statistical business processes, including challenges such as limited statistical human resources. The forum continued with discussions focused on finalizing the 2025 Katingan Regency Data List, covering strategic themes including population, economy, education, health, and infrastructure.

During the evaluation session, participants agreed that all regional government institutions are required to submit a statistical recommendation request to BPS before conducting any sectoral statistical activities. The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to strengthen regional data governance in support of evidence-based policymaking and to enhance the quality of development planning in Katingan Regency.
