Abstract

The number of guests staying at star hotels dropped by 7.94 percent, from 22,340 people (May 2019) to 20,566 people (June 2019). However, those staying in non-star hotels rose 4.08 percent, from 57,518 people (May 2019) to 59,867 people (June 2019).
  • Cumulatively, the number of guests staying in star hotels rose 3.78 percent, from 131,913 people (January-June 2018) to 136,900 people (January-June 2019). In contrast, the number of non-star hotel guests fell by 9.25 percent, from 36,135 people (January-June 2018) to 328,629 people (January-June 2019).
  • Star hotel room occupancy rates fell 5.38 points, from 52.24 percent (May 2019) to 46.86 percent (June 2019). In contrast, non-star ROR for hotels rose 1.59 points, from 20.55 percent (May 2019) to 22.14 percent (June 2019).
  • Average length of stay (RLTM) for star hotels (1.51 days), longer than non-star hotel guests (1.17 days).
