Abstract

In March 2020 the poor population in Kalimantan Tengah Province reached 132.94 thousand people
  • The percentage of poor people in urban areas in September 2019 amounted to 4.28 percent, rising to 4.62 percent in March 2020.
  • Meanwhile, the percentage of poor people in rural areas in September 2019 was 5.17 percent, down to 4.96 percent in March 2020.
  • In forming the Poverty Line (PL), food has a share of 78.86 percent.
  • Three types of food commodities that have the most influence on the Poverty Line in urban areas are rice, filter clove cigarettes, and purebred chicken.
  • Meanwhile in rural areas the most important are rice, filter clove cigarettes and granulated sugar.
