Abstract

The rice harvested area in 2021 is estimated to be 125.31 thousand hectares, a decrease of 17.97 thousand hectares or 12.54 percent compared to 2020 which was 143.28 thousand hectares.
  • Rice production in 2021 is estimated at 400.44 thousand tons of GKG, a decrease of 57.51 thousand tons of GKG or 12.56 percent compared to 2020 which was 457.95 thousand tons of GKG.
  • If the potential for rice production in 2021 is converted into rice for food consumption for the population, then rice production in 2021 is estimated at 236.64 thousand tons, a decrease of 33.98 thousand tons or 12.56 percent compared to 2020 which was 270.63 thousand tons.
