Abstract

Farmers Terms of Trade (NTP) is a comparison of the price index received by farmers (It) to the price index paid by farmers (Ib).

NTP is one indicator to see the level of ability/purchasing power of farmers in rural areas. NTP also shows the exchange power (terms of trade) of agricultural products with goods and services consumed as well as for production costs.

Kalimantan Tengah's combined NTP in March 2023 rose by 2.10 percent compared to February 2023, namely from 119.32 to 121.83. This increase was caused by an increase in the exchange rate in several sub-sectors, namely horticulture (2.99 percent), smallholder plantation crops (3.59 percent), and fisheries (1.75 percent). Meanwhile, food crops and livestock experienced a decline in exchange rates, respectively by 1.90 percent and 0.48 percent.

In March 2023 there was an increase in the Household Consumption Index (IKRT) in Kalimantan Tengah by 0.07 percent which was mainly due to an increase in the price index for the recreation, sports and culture group (0.76 percent), the food and beverage/restaurant supply group (0.76 percent). 35 percent) and the clothing and footwear group (0.19 percent).

Similar to the NTP, the Kalimantan Tengah Agricultural Household Business Exchange Rate (NTUP) in March 2023 also increased by 1.94 percent, from 119.81 (February 2023) to 122.13 (March 2023).
