November 2023: Kalimantan Tengah's Human Development Index (HDI) 2023 reached 73.73

The increase of HDI is higher than previous year. All dimensions increase higher compared to previous year, particularly the decent standard of living dimension and the knowledge dimension.
In the long and healthy life dimension, life expectancy at birth in 2023 was recorded as high as 73,54 years. This means children who were born in this year were expected to live 0.2 years longer than those who were born in the previous year. Measurement of life expectancy at birth is based on the result of long form 2020 population census (LF SP2020), a masive data collection covering demographic characteristics.
In the knowledge dimension, the expected years of schooling indicator reached at 12,76 years, representing an increase of 0.01 years compared to the previous year. Meanwhile, the mean years of schooling indicator (people aged 25+ years old) increased by 0.08 years, from 8.65 years in 2022 to 8.73 years in 2023. Decent standard of living dimension, represented by adjusted real per capita expenditure, increased by 420 thousand rupiahs (3.67 percent) compared to the previous year.
