The Gini Ratio for March 2024 was recorded at 0.301

Abstract

In March 2024, the level of expenditure inequality among the population of Kalimantan Tengah is measured by the Gini Ratio of 0.301. This figure decreased by 0.016 points compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 which was 0.317 and decreased by 0.018 points from the Gini Ratio in March 2022.
  • The Gini Ratio in urban areas in March 2024 was recorded at 0.311, down compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 and March 2022 which were 0.335 and 0.348 respectively.
  • The Gini Ratio in rural areas in March 2024 was recorded at 0.288, down compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2023 which was 0.298 and down compared to the Gini Ratio in March 2022 which was 0.292.
  • Based on the World Bank's measure of inequality, the distribution of expenditure among the bottom 40 percent is 21.91 percent. This means that population expenditure in March 2024 will be in the low inequality level category.
  • If broken down by region, in urban areas it was recorded at 20.75 percent and in rural areas 22.88 percent, which also means it is classified as low inequality.
