BPS Katingan Regency Holds Training for Susenas and Seruti Officers

The Katingan Regency Central Statistics Agency (BPS) is holding training for officers from the National Socio-Economic Survey (Susenas) and the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti) Quarter I 2025. This training aims to maintain the quality of socio-economic data required by the government and society. This training was carried out in two waves, with online and offline methods. Online training will take place on 13-18 January 2025, while offline training will be held on 20-25 January 2025 at the Katingan Regency BKAD Hall.

The offline training event was opened by the Head of BPS Katingan Regency, Khalid Zuhri, who in his speech conveyed the importance of utilizing Susenas data. "Susenas data is used as material for planning and evaluating national development programs, planning and evaluating sectoral programs as well as utilization by institutions, companies, academics and other data users," he concluded. Khalid Zuhri also highlighted several challenges faced by officers, one of which was the implementation of Susenas and Seruti Quarter I which was moved forward to 1-27 February 2025, considering that the month of Ramadan coincided with the previous schedule.

At the end of the event, Khalid Zuhri conveyed the top ten problems that occurred in the implementation of Susenas and Seruti in the first quarter of the previous year. This is conveyed as a matter of concern for all officers to improve future data collection and to be more careful in preparing the questions asked.
