The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) of Katingan Regency deployed 55 officers to carry out data collection on sample households in the National Economic Survey (Susenas) March and the Quarterly Household Economic Survey (Seruti) Quarter I 2025. This data collection covers 60 selected census blocks spread across 13 sub-districts in the Katingan Regency area.
The purpose of this data collection is to collect socio-economic data that will be used by the government to support national development policies. Various types of data collected include demographic information, population documents, migration, education, savings ownership, financial inclusion, employment, and others. Apart from that, data collection also includes information regarding household consumption and expenditure, both for food, drinks, cigarettes and non-food items in a certain period.
Data collection for March Susenas and Seruti Quarter I 2025 began with updating household data which was carried out on 1-6 February 2025. Next, data collection on selected sample households was carried out on 8-27 February 2025. This scheduling was moved forward to avoid clashes with the month of Ramadan which fell at the same time as the original schedule.
The officers involved in data collection have undergone intensive training to ensure in-depth understanding of the concepts and definitions used in this survey. BPS Katingan Regency also appealed to the sample community to provide honest information, so that the results of data collection can produce accurate and high-quality data.
With this activity, it is hoped that the data collected can provide a clearer picture of the socio-economic conditions of the people of Katingan Regency, which will later become the basis for better development planning.
